Superior Standard Features
Wisconsin Homes ranks high when evaluating standard features. For example, our carefully engineered floor system stands tall in the market place. When it comes to stability and quietness, you'll find no floor system that's better. Here are some of its construction highlights:

* Double 2" x 10" rim joists are used on the floor sides and the ends of the house. (Triple 2' x10" rim joists on the sides if they are 60 feet long or longer)
* Six 2" x 10" beams run down the center of our homes which provide unparalleled support.
* 2" x 10" floor joists 16" on-center are supported by center joist hangers with solid bridging added between joists for extra strength.
* Double Floor Decking. 4' x 8' sheets of ½" oriented strand board are laid down on the floor joists. The oriented strand board is then covered by 8' x 14' sheets of 5/8" Cresdeck floor decking (1 1/8" Total Thickness). Each layer is glued and ring shank nailed together to provide you with an extremely solid floor.

 

Another structural feature and an exclusive at Wisconsin Homes is the use of " Foil-Backed Drywall " on exterior walls. This material sealed with foil tape and caulk gives us exceptional continuous vapor barrier protection and provides added insulation value throughout the home. In addition, we use bridging between studs to increase wall strength and to contribute to an already solid frame.

From an interior perspective, our homes come with solid oak trim and solid oak cabinet faces and doors. We use "Prefinished," aluminum clad, triple pane, Low_E glazed, insulated KOLBE & KOLBE wood windows. These windows are top quality windows that include storm/screen combo units on sliding and double hung styles.
